Roscoe Village Real Estate By Patty Newcomer XML

More affordable than Lincoln Park, Roscoe Village real estate consists mainly of two- and three-flats, single family homes, new townhouses, and converted lofts. Roscoe Village is one of the less crowded (though highly demanded) neighborhoods in Chicago, and residents enjoy the comfortable, quiet lifestyle. Only 4 miles from the downtown Loop and very near Lake Michigan and Wrigley Field, Roscoe Village is set in the perfect location. The tree lined streets give the neighborhood a much needed tranquil, small town quality that serves as a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Residents consist mainly of families with children, though the city is also adaptable to young professionals.

Roscoe Village’s main shopping strip provides quality boutiques, taverns, antique shops, and restaurants. In fact, the largest collection of antique stores, called Antique Row, lies in Belmont Avenue. This line of stores spans five entire blocks, each one a separate, memorable antique shop. People are often found walking to the neighborhood’s many extraordinary bakeries to start their day. If residents wish to shop in more varied stores and restaurants, they only have to move one neighborhood over to West Lakeview. Theaters and music clubs provide late night entertainment, and proximity to Lake Michigan means boating, fishing, and swimming is only a few minutes away.

As the perfect place to raise a family, Roscoe Village has many private, public, and parochial schools from kindergarten through high school.
