Bucktown Real Estate By Carlita Hermosillo XML

Bucktown, Chicago real estate offers residents appealing landmark architecture, tree-lined streets, and a short, two-mile drive to downtown Chicago. Located in the Logan Square community of northwest Chicago, Bucktown lies on the Chicago River. Once a blue-collar community, Bucktown is now an upscale art-influenced neighborhood. Artists were originally drawn to the area by affordable renting and close proximity to Chicago’s Loop and expressways. These artists started the rejuvenation of the neighborhood, beautifying it and leaving a lasting impression.

Bucktown is a primarily residential community, with homes ranging from converted industrial lofts to townhouses, luxury single-family homes, vintage cottages, brownstones, a few mansions, and new condominiums. The newer buildings still retain the adapted three- to four-story limit, giving residents a welcome break from the huge skyscrapers lining the city. Home prices range from affordable condominiums starting at $200k to multi-million dollar luxury homes.

Bucktown has a unique nightlife charm found in its many bars and lounges, late-night music clubs, and theaters. A vary wide array of diverse restaurants can also be found here, including both family-oriented and upscale full-service dining. American dining at the Hollywood Grill, a bit of Costa Rican charm at Irazu, Middle Eastern cuisine at Sultan’s Market, and Swedish tastes at Ann Sather’s all attribute to the delectable dining experience Bucktown has to offer. Many coffee shops, bakeries, and carry-out locations are also available. Bucktown is a hot destination for shoppers, as it is popular for its in-style fashion departments and home furnishing stores. Art is also a large part of the neighborhood, with many art galleries and several art festivals to keep residents busy.

Family life is also encouraged in the neighborhood. Charter, magnet, and small public schools are available to residents, as well as private religious academies. Polish immigrant-built churches scattered about the community are suitable for followers as well.
