Carmel Valley is a very well balanced master planned community and one of the newer communities in North San Diego County. Formed in 1982 the Valley now holds some 40,0000 residents. Carmel Valley is located just east of Del Mar, California and south of Rancho Santa Fe, California.
Carmel Valley real estate options consist of townhouses, modest single-family homes and sprawling estate properties in thew following neighborhoods:
Torrey Hills is bounded by Interstate 5 to the west, Carmel Valley to the north and east, and the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve and Mira Mesa community to the south. Real estate options range from apartments, condominiums and townhouses, to smaller lot detached residential and single-family subdivisions.
The community of Del Mar Mesa consists of 2,042 acres and is located northeast of Carmel Valley and north of Los Peñasquitos Canyon, approximately 4 miles from the coast. Del Mar Mesa is developing as a semi-rural community of large homes, a golf-course, and a resort hotel. A large portion of the eastern end of the community is being conserved as open space under the city’s conservation program. New development is expected to preserve the rural, open character of Del Mar Mesa.
